According to the news from Beibu Gulf Port, on December 13th, as the "Haifeng Guangxi" container liner carrying 32 tons of Hunan Shaodong enterprise lighters slowly departed from the Qinzhou automated container terminal of Beibu Gulf Port, the first voyage of the "Hunan/Guizhou Beibu Gulf Port Jakarta" Western Land Sea New Channel lighter export liner was successfully completed, marking substantial progress in exporting lighters from Beibu Gulf Port and further improving the port's cargo structure. Lighters belong to Class 2.1 flammable gas dangerous goods, and the country has strict regulations on their transportation and storage. The export route of lighters in the past mainly relied on automobile transportation to the Yangtze River Delta region, and then switched to sea transportation for export, which had problems such as long detours, high costs, and long time consumption. According to calculations, exporting lighters from Beibu Gulf Port to Southeast Asian countries reduces land transportation mileage by more than 400 kilometers, lowers the comprehensive logistics cost of a single container by over 7%, and shortens the entire process time by about 7 days.
